Manjrekar, who has directed the film, and producers Narendra Hirawat and Shreyansh Hirawat have moved the HC seeking that the case be quashed. They also sought interim protection from arrest.
According to a complaint filed before the court, Manjrekar s film showed obscene scenes involving minor children in the film. Following which the court ordered a probe into the matter, the official said. We have registered an FIR on the order of the court and our investigation was underway.
Apart from Mahesh Manjrekar, the complainant has also named Narendra and Shreyans Hirawat and NH Studioz, who are producers of the film Nay Varan Bhat Loncha Kon Nay Koncha , as accused in the case.
Mahesh Manjrekar, 63, said he was diagnosed with the disease during the making of his upcoming directorial Antim: The Final Truth, starring Salman Khan and Aayush Sharma. The filmmaker shot the last leg of the actioner amid his chemotherapy sessions, he said.
