Sadly, the pandemic has made it all the more difficult for PwD to remain gainfully employed, not to mention the usual impediments of constraints of facilities in the workplace and acceptance by the public, especially employers. Businessman and personal assistant charged with assaulting bodyguards

The two victims were the 43-year-old businessman s bodyguards. Both the accused claimed trial to the charges levelled against them on Thursday (April 22). They were accused of committing the offences between 10.30pm and 11.30pm on April 13 outside a house in Bandar Bukit Tinggi here. The businessman, Chung Chee Yang, was slapped with five charges and was charged under Section 298 of the Penal Code for intentionally wounding the religious feelings of a person. He faced a second charge, punishable under Section 323 of the same legislation, for causing injury. Under the first charge, Chung had allegedly uttered to his bodyguards Mohd Azminizam Zulkepli, 44, and Ahmad Shamsuri Zailani, 27, words that were offensive to their religious beliefs.
