A police officer has died in a road accident caused by a speeding truck belonging to the Dangote Cement factory, around Saiten Petrol Station along the Abeokuta-Lagos highway in Ogun State.

Public Education Officer of the FRSC in Ogun, Florence Okpe stated at Ota, Ogun on Wednesday that the accident involved seven male and one female.

The spokesperson of the FRSC in Ogun, Florence Okpe, told journalists on Wednesday that nine vehicles were involved in the accident.

The accident occurred Saturday, at Sapaade-Ogere, Ogun State, when a speeding Toyota car with registration number KSF122FB, rammed into a moving truck marked FZE840G.

The injured victims were taken to Victory Hospital, Ogere, for medical attention while the deceased were deposited at FOS Morgue, Ipara in Remo North local government area of Ogun. | Pulse Nigeria
