A 20-year-old singer-songwriter from county Galway has been propelled into the international spotlight this week, after her song, Two Days Into College, went viral on TikTok. Aimee Carty, from Ballygar, a rural town close to the Roscommon border, released the song in early December 2023, only for it to take proverbial flight on the video-sharing app. At the time of writing, the video has over 4 million views and 3.3 million likes.
