Covid-19 vaccines: Dubai opens direct appointment bookings at private healthcare facilities
The vaccine is available for free for Dubai residence holders, GCC nationals who have an Emirates ID and elderly residents above 60 who live in Dubai, but have a residency permit issued in another emirate

The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) said on Tuesday that 17 private healthcare service providers will now provide vaccination services to the community, in addition to all DHA vaccination centres.
Dubai: You can now get the COVID-19 vaccine at private healthcare facilities in Dubai, as the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) announced that it was expanding its vaccination drive.
According to the announcement, which was made on May 4, those eligible to receive the vaccine through DHA will receive the vaccine free of cost at both DHA facilities as well as private hospitals and clinics. So, if you want to book an appointment for a COVID-19 vaccine, here is all you need to know.
Who can get the vaccine?
According to DHA, the vaccines are available for the following categories: Guide to the One Central COVID-19 Vaccination Centre.

Dubai has roped in 17 private healthcare service providers to offer its Covid-19 vaccination rates. The Emirate aims to vaccinate 100 per cent of target groups by the end of 2021.
Two types of vaccine Pfizer BioNTech and Sinopharm are available for free at over 30 government and private healthcare centres in Dubai.

Dr. Farida Al Khaja Dr. Farida Al Khaja, CEO of Clinical Support Services and Nursing Sector at the DHA and Chairperson of the COVID-19 Vaccination Steering Committee said: “The vaccines will continue to be provided free-of-cost. Extending the vaccination drive in partnership with private health care providers aims to expand capacity and enhance access and convenience for the public. The private health sector is a key partner in our drive to ensure excellence in patient-centred care.”
Apart from citizens and Dubai residence holders, GCC nationals who have an Emirates ID and elderly residents above 60 years who live in Dubai but have a residency of another emirate can also receive the vaccine.
The DHA said three documents are required when visiting DHA COVID-19 vaccination facilities:
-Emirates ID
-A medical report proving that you have a chronic disease
DHA announces that it is providing the Oxford-AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine. It is part of DHA’s commitment to provide the public a choice of different vaccines.
The DHA announced that it stopped taking appointments for COVID-19 PCR testing at Al Barsha Health Centre since February 3, 2021.
Customers can book appointments for COVID-19 PCR testing at other DHA Primary Health Care Centres that include: Nad Al Hamar Health Centre, Al Mankhool Health Centre, Al Twar Health Centre, Nad Al Sheba Health Centre and Al Lusaily Health Centre.
