The Timmins Police Service charged a local man with criminal code and controlled substances offences stemming from an incident that occurred during the early afternoon hours of Monday, July 26.

A Timmins Police Service officer observed a white Ford SUV being driven aggressively in the Mountjoy Street South area by a driver who is known to the police.
A press release stated that the driver ignored all attempts made by the police officer to have him stop, with the driver proceeding through a number of intersections controlled by clearly erected STOP signs, the vehicle eventually came to a hurried stop in a parking lot off of Waterloo Road.
