In a process that has been more than four years in development, the Huron County Planning Commission has approved a draft of the new master plan to go before the Huron County Board of Commissioners.
The planners have been working on a new master plan since 2016 in a process that has been delayed by issues such as nonconforming land use for re-powering turbines, getting a legal opinion from the Clark Hill firm about re-powering turbines, working on the solar energy ordinance at the same time, and many other drafts of the plan.
