Surveillance footage shows a massive gas station fire in Florida that state investigators determined was ignited by a deputy's Taser while attempting to take a motorcycle driver into custody.

Earlier this year, surveillance video was released that showed the end of an apparent pursuit between a motorcycle rider and Osceola County deputies at a Wawa gas station in Florida, where a fire erupted shortly after.

The department has yet to produce a charge against 26-year-old Jean Barreto, who was unarmed and tackled from behind during the botched arrest, which left him with third-degree burns and without most of his skin.

A Osceola County deputy sheriff will face a misdemeanor charge in a fire at a Wawa gas station sparked by a Taser.

Attorneys for a 26-year-old man who was tased at a gas pump by Osceola County sheriff’s deputies claim he never committed a crime and is now living in daily extreme pain and fighting for his life.

Speaking to the press Thursday, Osceola County Sheriff Marco López called hospitalized dirt bike rider Jean Barreto a menace before showing reporters helicopter footage of deputies pursuit of the 26-year-old.

The victim suffered severe burn injuries after a Taser deployed by Osceola County deputies apparently set off a fire at a gas pump.

Osceola County Sheriff Marcos Lopez previously acknowledged that a stun gun was deployed but would not say if it sparked the fire.

Attorneys for Jayden Baez and his friends wounded by Osceola deputies called into question Sheriff Marcos López's claims about the shooting.
