In new york city the forecast is for a sixday run of temperatures of 90 degrees or higher. The high today is expected to be 95. The extreme heat is expected to affect power grids and Officials Say blackouts are inevitable. We serve 3. 2 million metered customers that represents 9 million new yorkers throughout new york city and westchester every day. We will get pockets unfortunately of people who might lose power during the heat, and our crews are out there working in the heat to try to get the power back
