Trade between Russia’s Arkhangelsk Oblast and Belarus has been growing steadily over the past five years, Governor of Arkhangelsk Oblast Alexander Tsybulsky said at the fourth meeting of the working group on cooperation between Belarus and Arkhangelsk Oblast of Russia.
Our mutual visits have already become a regular thing. Today's event will lay the foundation for the further development of relations between Belarus and Arkhangelsk Oblast at the state and municipal levels, in the field of culture, science and education, and also between industry producers, Aleksandr Pshenny said.
“The situation has been recently improving, with enterprises gradually
adapting,” he said. “We are finding new markets. The situation is
gradually improving at both private and state-owned enterprises in the
domestic woodworking sector.”
Aleksandr Pshenny responded that the situation in the industry is
getting better by and large, although some enterprises, both private and state-owned, are struggling due to restrictions on exports to the EU
market.
