BANGOR, Maine As one of his first moves in office, President Joe Biden repealed former President Donald Trump s so-called Muslim travel ban.
“The first reaction was, ‘I can’t believe this is happening and I can’t believe that this is coming from the President of the United States,” says Portland City Councilor Pious Ali.
Trump enacted the travel ban to Muslim-majority nations in 2017. Protests erupted across the country almost immediately. Legal challenges to the ban went all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court, which the former president won.

BREWER, Maine A crash caused delays on the northbound side of I-95 in Bangor (mile marker 185) Friday morning.
A Maine State Police trooper told NEWS CENTER Maine s Chloe Teboe the crash happened a little after 7 a.m. and involved five vehicles.
According to the trooper, a pickup truck spun out of control, causing a chain reaction, while other cars tried to avoid it. The trooper said road conditions were to blame, as the area got a light dusting of slippery snow.
