And last week, the revived college received notice that it successfully jumped the first hurdle on the road to gaining accreditation.” Bill Hooper dies. “William Hooper, well-known contractor, former Antioch and Miami Township trustee and local activist, died March 25. He was 91 years old. … Bill was the developer of Westgate [Ridgecrest & Robinwood Drives and Keystone Court], the second integrated housing development in the United States, in the late 1950s.”

Dead body found in John Bryan State Park • The Yellow Springs News

On Saturday, March 13, around 12:30 p.m., a dead body was reportedly found at John Bryan State Park. The skeletal remains were found just north of the Orton picnic area. Law enforcement officials from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources and Greene County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene when dispatchers were notified of the body this afternoon. The Greene County Coroner and Miami Township Fire-Rescue were also on the scene. According to Lt. Alex Wendt of MTFR, the body was removed from the state park around 5 p.m. Detectives are continuing the investigation.  The Yellow Springs News will report more information as details are available.
