Since a devastating earthquake hit Türkiye and Syria last week, rescue workers and volunteers are saving the lives of thousands of animals inlcuding dogs, cats, birds and livestock. But animals also play a key role in rescuing humans, as trained rescue dogs as well as pet dogs and cats leading emergency crews to the location of their owners in the nick of time.
The deadly earthquake in Turkey and Syria has displaced and destroyed buildings. As rescue operations continued, many pets and animals were also affected. Read here.
