GNADENHUTTEN There were 182 entries in the Tomahawk Trot 5k Race Friday evening. The event was part of many activities held at the Gnadenhutten Fireworks Festival.
“I was flabbergasted by the turnout,” said Race Director Alisha Povick. “I’m still just trying to wrap my heard around the amount of people that turned out to support the Tomahawk Trot and the festival.”
The top three finishers were: Male: Cody Booth, 22, 15:55, Xander Heil, 16, 17:28 and David Ditcher, 35, 18:53; Female: Mackenzie McCarthy, 19, 18:25, Ellen Mann, 40, 21:36 and Bekah Zinkon, 28, 22:39.
Those winning their divisions, for male and female respectively are as follows: 1-14: Cruz Potts, Natalie Rennicker; 15-19: Daniel Hursey, Brooklyn Myers; 20-29: Jarrett Swinderman, Hannah Haga; 30-39: Andy Krocker, Jessica Harley; 40-49: Weston Gray, Rummel Jemmoth; 50-59: Gregory Erich, Denise Smith; 60-69: Darrell Gammon, Ann Luers; 70-99: John Davis.
