Some of the biggest moments throughout the entirety of the College World Series came from a pair of former stars hailing from right here on the Gulf Coast.
Starting with George County alum Logan Tanner, who hit the biggest home run of his life in the biggest game of his life last night and then East Central alum Brad Cumbest, who was the difference in MSU’s first win against Texas with a fourth inning RBI triple.
Back in Pascagoula, Mississippi State commit Keilon Parnell is singing the praises of his future teammates. “I like it. I actually played against Logan Tanner my eighth-grade year, and then seeing him, he’s a beast, man. He’s like something that you’ve never seen before. And then seeing him playing on TV, I could say that. I played against him, and he’s a competitor. And Brad Cumbest, I feel like he’s the Mule, you know? He really lives up to his name.”
