An advocate from Ayodhya had filed a PIL alleging that there were encroachments on land given to the Indian Army. The Court, however, disposed of the lawyer's PIL decided to take it up as a suo motu case.
The Allahabad High Court recently directed the State government to compensate a man with ₹25,000 on account of his unlawful detention for around three days due to certain lapses by a Sub-Divisional Magistrate.
