BACOLOD CITY: An alleged notorious hitman was arrested by authorities on Tuesday in Barangay Panala-an, Bais City, Negros Oriental.In a statement, BGen. Anthony Aberin, regional police director of Central Visayas, said that the arrest of Allan Lagos Carcuevas was the product of an intelligence-driven operation jointly conducted by intelligence operatives of the Negros Oriental Police Provincial Office and its 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company.Aberin said Carcuevas was involved in the assassination attempt of a politician in Negros Oriental whose identity was not mentioned. The suspect was also allegedly involved in several shooting incidents in Mabinay, Bais City and other areas in the province.
