Three years ago, Carly Brownell’s teenage daughter was in critical condition and almost died.
The now 19-year-old has been through 17 open heart surgeries, among other health problems. Every birthday, Christmas and milestone aren’t guaranteed, something even more apparent during the COVID pandemic.
