IPOH: More than one million trees have been planted at Perak’s permanent forest reserves this year, says Perak Mentri Besar Datuk Saarani Mohamad.
Having already planted 1,217,963 trees, the state will continue to plant more under the “100 Million Trees Planting” campaign over the next five years.
“The campaign is in line with the Greening of Malaysia Agenda.
“After the success in planting over 72.16 million trees between 2010 and 2014, the Federal Government plans to plant 100 million trees under the 12th Malaysia Plan, ” he told reporters after launching the campaign at Hutan Simpan Kledang Saiong here yesterday.
