Amansie Central youth Call for re-activationof Work on Abandoned Roads The Amansie Central Youth Association (ACYA) is calling on the government to, as a matter of urgency, come to the aid of the district by re–activating work on abandoned roads in the area. Mr. John Ankrah, president of the association, noted at a press conference at Jacobu that the district cannot boast of a kilo meter of a well-constructed road. He mentioned specifically that before the 2020 elections contractors were on the Jacobu to Biribiwomanmu road, Jacobu to Fiankoma road,Jacobu to Nkoduaso road and Jacobu to Esekasu road, but work has stopped on all these projects.

Illegal mining Task Force seizes 8 pump action guns from Kingsperp Mining A section of the excavators at the GHEL premises The Environmental Sustainability Taskforce instituted by the Inter Ministerial  Committee on illegal mining (IMCIM) by the previous administration last Monday strayed into parts of the Ashanti region and confiscated 10 excavators, in what is suspected to an illegal operation under the pretext of saving the forests from illegal miners. The Taskforce was officially bound for parts of the Western region but managed to invade the concession of the Kingsperp Mining Limited in an unauthorised operation.
