Your dogs are a lot like you and they are all about getting out of the house. They want to see their friends and make new ones. This weekend is a great time for your fur babies to get out and mingle with others.
Hey Amarillo, Get Your Pet Chipped! It Might Just Save Them
There s nothing I love more than stories with happy endings and sure enough that s coming when Texas Governor Greg Abbott signs legislation for HB 604 requiring lost pets to be scanned for microchips containing their owner s information. Here in the Panhandle that may lead to more happy reunions when you lose your pet.

Keeping your pet out of the shelter
Let s face it, losing an animal is tough. No owner ever wants to go through losing their best friend and while they sometimes return on their own, often times they find themselves in local shelters. Many of these shelters are having capacity issues that are pushing them to the brink of what they can handle. Even here in the panhandle shelters are asking for help with fosters to keep the numbers down.
Muttfest 2021 Is Happening This Year In A New Location
One of the staples of Amarillo has always been Muttfest. It s a day you get to bring your dogs out to the park and have all kinds of fun. Of course, like everything last year it was cancelled. Here we are in 2021 and yes, Muttfest will be happening again.
This is great news. We get to see all of our fur babies in one location. It is so great. I am always so in awe of how great all the dogs seem to get along. It is definitely a fun day here in Amarillo.
