The seminar course will investigate how the Holocaust continues to affect society today, including through the lenses of music, gaming, immigration law, mathematics, African and African American studies and more.
The offerings this spring will include an interdisciplinary seminar course with university-wide guest lecturers and two public lectures, one featuring a lecturer from the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum.
The Rapport Badge was designed to help increase connections between professors and students, fostering a sense of belonging to the U of A community for both faculty and students.
The Holocaust is "still affecting people today; even if you think you re not affected by it, you are," said Jennifer Hoyer, associate professor of German and founding director of Jewish studies at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville.
