Ciudad de México. El Papa Francisco designó al mexicano Rodrigo Guerra López nuevo secretario de la Pontificia Comisión para América Latina.
También nombró a la teóloga argentina Emilce Cuda como número dos de la Comisión para América Latina.
Esta comisión se ocupa de estudiar las principales cuestiones de la vida católica en América Latina y promover la colaboración entre el Vaticano y el Consejo Episcopal Latinoamericano.
El profesor Guerra López es miembro de las Pontificias Academias de Ciencias Sociales y de Vida, donde interviene sobre Ética y Derechos humanos.
