Meal in that time. Kids usually want to just eat a little bit and maybe eat a little bit later. Reporter the rigidity of the rules has had a dramatic effect. Coordinator fuentes says at its height the Redwood Food Bank Summer Food Program served 150,000 meals. This summer theyre on track to only serve about 30,000. Weve seen definitely a decrease in participation. It was great to have that option, that kids or families could pick up those meals for their kids, whereas now were kind of hindering that. Its not that kids are accessing those lunches at a different location at this point in time. Theyre just not getting those lunches.
