Wildfires are forcing thousands of families from their homes in california this morning. Crews are battling 21 large wildfires throughout the state. The largest is the rocky fire raging near lower lake, about 100 miles north of san francisco. That wild fire exploded in size sunday growing to at least 84 square miles. Air tankers are dousing the flames from above. Lamore abrams of our sacramento affiliate kobr reports. Reporter fastmoving flames continues raging through thousands of acres of dry brush. Tripling in size in just two days. Just how much more the rocky fire will burn is a question no one has an answer to. The fire behavior that were seeing because of the dry vegetation is its historic.
