The United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) and Naseej, a leader in real estate development in Bahrain, have joined forces to foster sustainable community development initiatives.

Edamah, the real estate arm of Bahrains sovereign wealth fund Mumtalakat Holding, has broken ground on its new Sitra Logistics Park, a world class warehousing facility spread over a 87,382 sq m area, which will serve the kingdom’s logistics industry.

Bahrain’s real estate sector is strong and resilient and will continue to grow in the years to come, real estate leaders of the kingdom said at the Gulf Property Show’s roundtable yesterday.

The Gulf Property Show, the leading boutique showcase for real estate sector in Northern Gulf, is set to host a visionary leadership roundtable into Bahrain’s real estate future with focus on future developments through the eyes of top industry experts.

Bahrain-based Edamah said it has won approval from the Higher Urban Planning Committee for the general masterplan of its 1.3 million sq m development, Bilaj Al Jazayer. The project also includes a 3km beach, which is the cornerstone of the masterplan.
