It’s been over a year since Bahamian heavyweight boxer Amron “Sandman” Sands has stepped into the ring for a fight but that drought will end tonight when he takes on the Dominican Republic’s Alexis Garcia in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. The Hotel Catalonia Malecon Center will be the venue.
Both fighters put their undefeated record on the line for this fight. Sands sport a perfect 11-0 win/loss record while his opponent has a 9-0 record. This is the Bahamian’s second fight in the Dominican Republic and second straight one there. Last time out, he won by an eight-round unanimous decision over Christian Galvez.
