Senior advocate Siddharth Luthra, appearing for Uma Krishnaiah, the wife of the slain officer, said the state government has changed the policy retrospectively and released him in the case.
Anand Mohan, convicted of killing DM G Krishnaiah, was released on 27 April. On which Krishnaiah s wife Uma Devi filed a petition challenging his release.
The Supreme Court on Monday sought response from the Centre and the Bihar government on a plea challenging the state government's decision to prematurely release former MP Anand Mohan.
