KUWAIT CITY, Dec 24: MP Abdulkareem Al-Kandari has submitted a bill to amend law number 106/ 2013 on combating money laundering and financing terrorism in order to transfer the supervision of Kuwait Financial Investigations Unit from the Ministry of Finance to the Central Bank of Kuwait (CBK).
Article Two of the bill states that the minister of finance shall specify the limit for dealing in cash – local or foreign currencies. MP Mohammad Hadi Al- Hewaila forwarded queries to all ministers about the execution of the replacement policy.
He requested for details as follows:
❑ Number of jobs previously occupied by expatriates who were replaced with nationals since the Civil Service Commission (CSC) issued decision number 11/2017 on replacing expatriates working in public institutions with citizens.

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 23, (Agencies): The Director of Public Health Department Dr. Fahad Al-Qimlas announced Wednesday the Ministry’s readiness to receive everyone to take the coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccines, as it has a wellplaced plan to approve vaccination centers, namely halls number five and six at Kuwait International Fair (KIF) grounds, as well as two additional centers in Al-Ahmadi and Al-Jahra governorates. Al-Qimlas added in remarks to the media, that people desiring to receive COVID-19 vaccinations have to register their requests electronically to facilitate the process of their entrance to the centers, and to approve their reservations, as the Ministry is ready to receive thousands daily. Al-Qimlas made his remarks on the sidelines of the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Council of Ministers Affairs at the vaccination hall earlier at KIF.
Two take lead on Twitter on day 1
KUWAIT CITY, Dec 17: Following the recent announcement of the formation of the new government, the users of social networking sites rushed to search for the accounts of the new ministers to follow them and monitor their posts especially on Twitter, reports Al-Qabas daily. In a survey conducted by the daily, it was found that nine ministers from the new government have accounts on social media platforms, especially Twitter, compared to five ministers with no accounts registered under their names.
It was noted during monitoring that the most prominent ministers who have open and official accounts are Anas Al-Saleh, Issa Al-Kandari, Ahmed Al-Nasser, Dr Basil Al-Sabah, Nawaf Al-Yaseen, Faisal Al-Medlj, Mubarak Al-Haris, and Rana Al-Faris. A private account was found in the name of the Minister of Oil and Electricity Dr Muhammad Al-Faris, but it was not open to the Twitter users, as he closed it, and only allowed followups conditional upon prior approv
