Researchers in a new study discovered that some jellyfish can "learn and remember" despite having about a thousand nerve cells and no centralised brain.

Working with the Caribbean box jellyfish, a team of researchers was not shocked to find the animals could learn, but "it was a surprise how fast" they learned.

Jellyfish are far more intelligent than previously thought.
