According to the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India s Performance Indicator Report for the quarter ending December 31, the pay DTH base of the four private DTH operators declined to 63.52 million from 64.18 million in the trailing quarter.
According to the performance indicator report of the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), the total active subscriber base of the four pay DTH operators – Tata Play, Dish TV, Airtel Digital TV and Sun Direct – increased 0.38% quarter-on-quarter to 65.50 million.
The ministry intends to establish self-regulation through content evaluation committees and a broadcast advisory council. It also aims to provide programme and advertisement codes for various broadcasting network providers, as well as accessible measures for people with disabilities and statutory penalties.
The active subscriber base of pay-direct-to-home (DTH) platforms has declined by 1.37 million to 65.25 million for the quarter ended March from 66.6 million in the trailing quarter, according to the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India s (TRAI) performance indicator report.
