Real owners happy to get their keys to RDPs BULELWA GININDZA
THEY had to guard RDPs allocated to them to stop invaders from moving in.
But on Tuesday, 20 July, Andre Maarkgraaf and 199 others finally got the keys to their new homes.
The 63-year-old from Tekwane South, Mpumalanga, said on Monday, 12 July, a group of people started invading the houses, claiming to be the new owners.
The military veteran said he first applied for a house in 2017.
“I needed my own home. I followed all the procedures and I was very fortunate that my application was successful.
“I came here frequently to check and nothing was happening,” he said.
