Cape Town police received a tip-off about a container full of chocolate bars being offloaded in Kensington.

Six-year-old Shanawaaz Asghar was reportedly snatched by a group of men in Kensington, Cape Town on Wednesday morning.

The 29-year-old suspect was nabbed in Forest Heights on Thursday night. He is allegedly linked to business robberies and a hijacking.

Ward Councillor Angus Mckenzie said suspects were arrested following a community tip-off.

The polices Andre Traut said the childs identity is still unclear.
