MONTRÉAL La foule était survoltée devant le Centre Bell, à Montréal, après la victoire 3-2 du Canadien de Montréal contre le Lightning de Tampa Bay.
La foule a hurlé sa joie et lancé des feux d’artifice alors que le Tricolore a échappé à l’élimination lors d’une partie serrée qui a fait durer le suspense jusqu’en prolongation.
Une forte présence policière a rapidement délogé la foule qui s’est dirigée vers le boulevard René-Lévesque.
Talonnés par la brigade antiémeute, qui utilisait du gaz lacrymogène, les fêtards se sont dispersés dans les rues adjacentes. Quelques projectiles ont été lancés vers les policiers.
