Google introduces Password Checkup notification, Scheduled Messages and more for Android
Google has introduced a bunch of new features into Android that are designed to improve the everyday user experience. Google Maps is receiving a dark mode, TalkBack is improved, the Google Assistant has new capabilities, Messages can be scheduled for later and more.
Android features a built-in password manager that is receiving a new update called Password Checkup. This feature, which is currently present in Google Chrome, will check a user’s credentials against a list of known compromised passwords every time they use password autofill. If the credentials are found to be compromised, Google will prompt users to change their password.
