Just about 020 seconds ago, theyre had hadding west down Marina Boulevard over the Golden Gate Bridge and will snake their way back here. 5,000 runners from 24 Different Countries are taking part this morning. This is the 13th annual u. S. Half marathon in San Francisco. Many people here are running to benefit saint judes childrens hospital. Some of the bigger marathon that is weve covered. Many people have run a couple of these types of races before. So were looking forward to seeing how well well cope with the hills. With the strategy, were not looking forward to it. This year. The strategy is a good thing. Were 13. 1 miles trying to finish without stopping. A lot of road closures in effect this morning, among them bay street and laguna that runs until 8 00 this morning. The intersection at bay street and Franklin Octavia are shutdown until 8 00 this morning. Several routes have been rerouted in the area but perhaps impacting the most people on sun
