Strike action at the Port of Felixstowe is likely to disrupt £700m worth of trade and will have a direct impact on brands such as Asda, John Lewis, Tesco and Marks & Spencer.

The workers, all of whom are members of the Unite union, were seen laughing at the Suffolk port as they danced in a line whilst others watched on with gleeful looks on their faces.

Dozens of British businesses are being forced to close their doors as the crippling cost of living crisis continues to take hold over the country. Small businesses have been unable to cope.

Other sectors – including schools – have issued bleak warnings about their future too.
