In November, the Canadian government announced that on Jan. 15, essential workers will only be allowed to enter the country if they are fully vaccinated. On Jan. 14, Fred Caravetta, of Warroad, likely will make his last deliveries to the residents of the Northwest Angle after nearly 20 years of that route.

As of yesterday, August 9th, fully vaccinated Americans were allowed back into Canada. However, so many people wanted to cross the border that the line was 8 hours long at the International Falls, Fort Frances border crossing point.
