TANAHUN, May 18: The government has extended the deadline for expanding the eastern section of the Pokhara-Muglin road along the Prithvi Highway by five months. A Chinese construction company, China Communications Construction, has been undertaking the expansion work.
POKHARA, April 26: The Chinese contract company, Anhui Kaiyuan Highway & Bridge Company, responsible for the road construction, has implemented precast technology for the bridge construction at Magdi, Kotre, Kumle Khola, and Bijayapur. As part of the ongoing construction of the Muglin-Pokhara road, bridges are being erected at four locations in the western section using 'precast' technology.
Amid criticisms for the delay in project advancement, the project developers are working to blacktop the west section of the Mugling-Pokhara Road Expansion Project from the first week of February 2024.
KATHMANDU, August 2: The government took a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in 2018 and proceeded with the Butwal-Narayanghat road upgradation work. But the pace of construction of the road section is shameful. The progress of the 113 km Butwal-Narayanghat road with loan from ADB is also embarrassing.
KASKI, April 9: A high-level team including Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Affairs, Narayan Kaji Shrestha, inspected the ongoing expansion and upgrading works on the Prithvi Highway today. The highway connects Pokhara, the capital of Gandaki Province, to the federal capital, Kathmandu.
