Even though we had limited options to choose from this month, these phones have flagship-grade features and serious performance to delight one and all.
For whatever reason, Viewsonic is charging a slight premium for this panel.

With GPU-makers setting their sights on 4K gaming and CPU prices tanking – thanks to a struggling Intel and resurgent AMD – high-refresh rate 1080p gaming isn’t so far out of reach as one might believe.
With 24-inch 144 Hz panels now selling at under 20k, prices of fast monitors have clearly fallen. The ViewSonic’s XG2405 is of this breed, and offers a 1 ms MPRT response time coupled with a 144 Hz refresh rate and AMD FreeSync Premium certification. The resolution is, of course, 1080p, and the monitor can be had for about 19k on e-commerce sites.

part of a series about tech gadgets and devices that helped Team tech2 and some of our friends through the pandemic, lockdown, and the year 2020, in general.
As a tech journalist, I’m used to having a tonne of gadgets to play around with all year round. Be it phones, laptops, tablets, or some form of smart toy or other, gadgets come and go at a rather rapid rate, which means that my relationship with them is fickle at best.
The two gadgets that are the exception to the rule, however, are my iPhone 11 and MacBook Pro 16, and you’d rarely find me with my eyes averted from either screen.

The ZenBook UX435 is an… interesting laptop, to say the least. It looks like a regular laptop and functions like one, and it’s powered by Intel’s “latest” 11th Gen CPUs with their relatively powerful and new Xe graphics chips. Strangely and I’ll explain why in a bit the CPU is paired with an Nvidia MX450 GPU.
The gimmick (because there has to be one, duh) is that the touchpad isn’t actually a touchpad. Oh no, it’s a tiny little display that masquerades as a touchpad.
