Mactan Economic Zone to adopt e-payment, collection systems

March 04, 2021 AUTOMATED systems and processes including an online payment method accessible to applicant investors or current locators in economic zones will soon be adopted in the Mactan Economic Zone, the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (Peza) said. Peza Director General Charito Plaza said this is part of the agency’s initiatives in line with Republic Act 11032, also known as the “Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Services Delivery Act of 2019” that aims to improve transaction systems and procedures. “Economic zones in Mactan and Baguio City will begin using the system in the next few weeks with the scanners recently deployed,” Plaza said.

The Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) today announced that it has signed a memorandum of agreement (MOA) with online payment gateway provider I-PAY MYEG PH (IPMPI) as the agency automates its systems and processes for easier locator transactions at its various economic zones in the country. PEZA Director General Charito “Ching” Plaza and I-PAY MYEG PH (IPMPI) Chief Executive Officer Ann Margaret Saldana signed the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on February 18, 2021.
