The Finance Minister said that this year’s budget is ambitious and focused on inclusivity, where the fruits of development would reach all the citizens, such as farmers, women, children, Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, etc.
For the 28 months that PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana was implemented, a total outlay of approximately Rs. 3.91 lakh crore was sanctioned for 1,118 lakh tons of allocated foodgrain
Under the scheme, Government of India will provide free foodgrains to all NFSA beneficiaries i.e. Antyodaya Ann Yojana (AAY) households & Priority Household (PHH) persons for the next one year through the wide spread network of 5.33 lakhs Fair Price Shops across the country.
