Anne Arundel businesses crushed by COVID pandemic, county starting to recover

By some metrics, the county is faring better than Maryland and the country as a whole. In December 2020, the county unemployment rate was at 4.9%, well below the state’s 6.3%, but still nearly double the rate recorded in December 2019, 2.5%.
