Sky Germany Bolsters True-Crime Slate
Sky Germany has licensed a package of true-crime documentaries from Woodcut International that includes titles such as
Surviving a Serial Killer and
The Killer Within.
The Beverley Allitt Tapes and seasons two and three of
How I Caught the Killer. The docs will air on the Sky Crime channel, which launched in the territory earlier this month.
Koulla Anastasi, commercial director of Woodcut International, “We are delighted to announce this package deal and wish to congratulate Sky Germany on the successful launch of their new crime channel. As a producer, Woodcut Media continues to raise the bar with its factual content, and it’s a privilege to have some of these premium titles feature as part of this new channel’s offerings.”

The documentary will see BAFTA-winning journalist Mobeen Azhar examine the conservatorship that Spears (pictured) has been under for the last 13 years, featuring interviews with the pop star’s makeup artist Billy Brasfield, her former choreographer Brian Friedman, celebrity blogger Perez Hilton, lawyer Lisa MacCarley and Catherine Falk, daughter of
Columbo‘s Peter Falk, who was the subject of a conservatorship in his final years.
The Battle for Britney: Fans, Cash and a Conservatorship premieres May 11 and is produced by Forest. Laura Kaye is producer with Jeremy Lee serving as EP.
