Next-generation socially assistive robots have been successfully tested in a healthcare setting to assist patients and relieve pressure on nursing staff as part of a hospital trial co-conducted by researchers from the UK’s National Robotarium in Paris, France.

Robots designed to help in healthcare environments have been tested successfully by experts. The Spring robot greeted patients, helped with routine tasks and held conversations with multiple people at the same time.
