To date the campaign has over 80 supporting locations including sporting facilities, youth spaces, community centres, schools, playgrounds, libraries and beaches.
Staff at Wexford County Council (WCC) have experienced what life is like for those living with dementia courtesy of a special training course at County Hall. The Mobile Virtual Dementia Tour allows people to experience the lived reality of people with dementia, allowing participants to gain an insight into the lives of those with the condition.
Following on from the success of the ‘Happy to Chat’ café initiative in the summer of 2023, local businesses are now being encouraged to get involved as Wexford Public Libraries have also signed up.
