Keokuk, IA- The SCC Keokuk Campus Drama Club will host its 10th Annual Zombie Walk on Friday, October 14. Registration is free and starts at 5 p.m. A costume and performance contest begins at 6 p.m., with the walk to follow at Estes Park on Fifth and Main Street in Keokuk. Event coordinator and SCC professor Jodi Cook says she's excited for the return of this event. "We couldn't host this walk the past two years while we all worked our way through the pandemic. We're so happy to offer it again," she said. It's always a great time, and we can't wait to see the creative costumes folks show off." She adds that this is a fun event for families and students, alike. "There is no cost to participate, though we do accept donations for the food pantry or Humane Society." Over $400 in cash prizes are up for grabs in child, youth, individual, and group categories with one grand prize of $100 for Best Overall Zombie. The event is open to the public
