An animal advocacy group is calling for changes to the federal government’s wild horse wrangling operations after a roundup in Nevada left multiple stallions, mares and foals injured or dead.

Federal land managers plan to round up more than 3,000 wild horses in the southern portion of the Antelope Complex and the northern part of Elko County.

Triple B begins under outdated plan and no revisions of humane policy

The so-called “Path Forward” plan presently adopted by BLM and USFS is, in my professional opinion as a wild-horse ecologist, a “wipeout” plan, in that it “wipes out” generations of natural adaptation to the particular ecosystems from which these equines came.

Tax funding is fueling the mass clearing of public lands of thousands of wildfire, global warming preventing and ecosystem protecting healthy wild horses.
