Michigan’s two majority-Black congressional districts are eliminated. Eight of 14 incumbents would have to face off against each other or run in different districts.  

The Michigan Independent Citizens Redistricting Commission approved a process for voting on final maps for legislative district lines at its meeting Thursday.

The decision follows an opinion by Attorney General Dana Nessel that found that the commission must disclose information it weighed while mapping.
