American Express Continues to Expand The Centurion® Lounge Network with The Opening of Its 14th Location at Denver International Airport
January 29, 2021 GMT
Today, American Express (NYSE: AXP) announced that it will open its 14th Centurion Lounge at Denver International Airport (DEN) on February 1, 2021. Located in the Concourse C Mezzanine, the new lounge will cover more than 14,000-square-feet, making it the second-largest Centurion Lounge location to date. Card Members visiting the Denver Centurion Lounge will continue to see health-and-safety practices in place, as part of the “ Centurion Lounge Commitment.” These practices have been implemented across the lounge network and include socially distanced seating, reduced capacity, increased cleaning frequency, requirements to wear a face covering when entering the lounge, served food instead of buffets, and more.
The lounge is located in Denver’s Concourse C, the primary home for Alaska, Southwest and Spirit.
It’s nearly impossible to miss the lounge. As you walk toward Gate C47, you’ll find a massive “living wall” emblazoned with signature American Express branding.

Keep walking toward the sign, and you’ll find a set of escalators that take you up to the lounge’s expansive entrance.
Denver’s reception area is easily the most dramatic in the entire network.

The C Concourse will receive a much-needed extension in the coming months, but the lounge’s upper-level location will remain when the new gates open.
Although airline passenger numbers are still lagging, American Express is moving ahead with the opening of its latest Centurion Lounge at Denver International Airport. The newest outpost of AmEx s premium lounge opened this week, just in time for the peak of ski season.Â
âHistorically, Denver International Airport has been one of the top airports our U.S. premium card members have traveled to,â says Alexander Lee, American Express vice president of travel experiences and benefits. âWhile many may not be ready to travel now, we are happy to provide our card members with a safe and comfortable place to relax whenever they may be ready to travel again.â

The Burrell School District plans to appeal a Westmoreland County assessment ruling that reduced the real estate tax assessment of Siemens Industry Inc. With the lower assessment, the school district stands to lose $53,000 this year.
The tax challenge adds to another legal action Burrell, along with Upper Burrell Township, are pursuing to prevent a substantial loss of tax revenue from Arconic Inc., the largest land owner in Upper Burrell. Siemens’ main operations site is at the Westmoreland Business and Research Park, and the Arconic Technology Center is off of Route 780.
